Swing in Comfort with Patio Swing Cushions

There was a time in our country’s history when everyone enjoyed a nice porch swing in their homes.  The very nature of how we’ve changed to become more of a ‘backyard society’ is one reason why there has been an erosion of the close neighborhood ties that used to exist.  However, this isn’t some sad story about the ‘way things used to be’, this is a going to be a discussion about how patio swing cushions are still alive and well and how they have taken on a new form.  See, the swing hasn’t entirely disappeared, it has just moved to that more user-friendly place in the backyard.  The patio is the replacement for the front porch for many neighborhoods.

Backyard Living at It's Best

You may not be a homeowner who has this type of problem. Maybe you still live in one of those ‘old neighborhoods’ where you can still sit in the front and wave at the neighbors and other passers by. But, the move toward backyard living has actually opened up new areas of excitement for patio enthusiasts.  Now, there are more patio accessories, swings, furniture, benches, patio lighting, and so much more.  It used to be that you would have to go to a luxury resort to have exposure to such products.  We’ve been talking about patio swings here, but there are also patio cushions for almost any piece of furniture you can imagine.  The swing cushion is just one take on the basic design.

There are also patio swings that have their own canopies and cushion sets.  These are the ones that you’ll see with their own A-frame type of design.  They can be placed in most settings – concrete slab, paver patio, even on dirt or grass.  The frame itself is quite stable and resistant to water damage.  With proper care and maintenance, it will last a long time.  The cushion sets that come with these are quite comfortable and replacement cushions can be found easily enough with some searching online.  One bit of advice is to shop early, you’d hate to be ‘stuck’ with some great weather and no where to sit outside!
