Outdoor Chandeliers and Scones

Are you thinking about adding garden lights to your backyard or patio but do not know which kind to get or where to put them? Do you want something unique that will set your garden lighting plans apart?  If this sounds anything like what you want then stick around because the topic of today’s article is about two unique outdoor light fixtures and the best places to put them to enjoy your backyard.

The first landscape lighting light fixture that we are going to be talking about today is the outdoor chandelier. Outdoor chandeliers are a great addition to places where you need a lot of light but do not want to blind people with floodlights or ground lights. Some of the best places to put these lights are in gazebos, under porches, under awnings or canopies or even above your hot tub if it is under a deck or has its own building. One of the only major downfalls to installing an outdoor chandelier is the actual installation due to the fact that you have to hang the bracket then the electrical box then the nipple and then the chandelier. This can get a little bit tiresome if you are the only one who is doing the install.

The second type of light that we are going to be talking about are outdoor wall sconce. These are fantastic lights that can really add some spice or set the moodl in your outdoor area. What makes these lights so distinct is their way of putting off just enough light to where you can see what you are doing but not enough to light up the whole sky. Sconces are very good lights to install in places such as walk ways, pathways, in gardens, around doorways, and near entryways. There are however some downfalls to having outdoor sconces, one of them being once again the installation process. This can be a very tedious and time-consuming process because of the way that you must hide the wire from view by concealing it inside of the wall. The other downside to having sconces is the cost of having to buy multiple sconces in order to light up a walkway or path.

Scones and chandeliers are two types of light fixtures that will surely add a lot to your property.  They take a little bit of time to install, but the time invested is more than worth the payoff.
