Grow Plants In A Lean-to Greenhouse

A lot of work goes into keeping a garden, especially if you are practicing organic gardening. But, being able to gorw your own fruits and vegetables in your backyard that taste better than anything you can buy in the supermarket is incredibly rewarding. Unfortunately, weather conditions can make it difficult to grow vegetables, fruits, flowers and herbs easily. The solution to this is to take your garden into a contained environment such as a lean-to greenhouse. A greenhouse maintains the optimal conditions for growing no matter where you live. Moisture, heat and light form the perfect balance all year round to give gardeners a helping hand.

A lean to greenhouse is especially cool because it can be set up right against your home. A sturdy steel frame holds up plastic walls that contain the environment. A sliding door on the side provides the entry point. Anything and everything can be grown inside this environment. Plants grow taller and more readily because the greenhouse keeps moisture inside. In a regular garden, water can evaporate quicker than you can keep up with. Light is plentiful inside the greenhouse but not nearly as harsh as normal exposure. Sunlight is buffered as is passed through the semi opaque polycarbonate coverings.

A Lean-to Greenhouse

Even with all these cool features, a greenhouse owner still needs to do some maintenance to maintain this environment. Special air vents at the top of the greenhouse need to be opened and closed as needed to let heat out. During a hot day you should open these vents so heat does not build up inside. On a cold night, be sure to put a greenhouse heater inside to keep the plants from freezing. Seedlings are especially vulnerable to temperature extremes. Lean to greenhouses provide pristine growing environments for your plants no matter what the conditions are outside.
